Nine Sperry Students Make
MEOBDA All-District Bands
On January 16, more than 1,000 students from 30 schools participated in the Mid-East Oklahoma Band Directors Association All-District Band tryouts. Sperry Band students participated in the tryouts on three of those bands: 7th Grade Band, Junior High Band, and the High School Band. Nine Sperry students took places on those bands and one was seated on the alternate band.
Two Sperry students, Seth Anquoe and Sadie Smith, are members of the 7th Grade MEOBDA All-District Band.
Three students, Samantha McMurray, Danielle Muir, and Zaden Ford, qualified for the Junior High MEOBDA All-District Band.
Four students, Kelli Garrison, Jeffery Chase, Nathan Weldon and Tucker Smith, have places on the High School MEOBDA All-District Band. Alexander Martin placed as an alternate member.
The bands also recently worked through a 1½ day clinic, and performed an amazing concert at Oologah High School on January 31.
