Junior High (7th, 8th, & 9th Grades) Basketball Steps Onto the Court
As winter approaches, temperatures outside are dropping and noticeable chills are in the air. But things are heating up inside the Sperry Schools gymnasiums as basketball and wrestling take center stage.
Sperry's middle school basketball teams will be home Monday, Dec. 9, to take on Cleveland in Will Rogers Conference contests. Games will begin at 5 p.m. with the seventh grade boys and girls contests. Eighth grade teams will play at around 6 p.m., and will be followed by the ninth grade squads at around 7 p.m.
All boys games Monday will be in the Sperry Field House while the girls contests will be played in the old gym. The boys and girls teams rotate gyms each home date.
Jeff Hefner coaches the boys teams grades 7-9. Hefner is also the head high school boys coach. Cole Fancher directs the seventh and eighth grade girls squads while Jared Smith, head high school girls coach, handles the ninth grade girls coaching duties.
