Pirate Football Coach Robert Park Named 2019-2020 District 2A Coach of the Year
Robert Park has received many accolades during his long reign as Sperry High School's football coach. As of the end of the 2019 football season, he can add District 2A-3 Coach of the Year to the list.
Coach Park was honored by District coaches following the end of the football season, which saw the Pirates finish 7-0 in district play and 12-1 overall. The team reached the State Quarterfinals before falling 14-7 to Kingston. The Pirates were 2A State Champions the previous year.
"District Coach of the Year is a great honor," Coach Park said. "The kids and coaches worked hard and deserve the credit.”
