Sperry Basketball Tournament Begins December 19
High school basketball teams from around the state will descend on Sperry this week for the annual Sperry Tournament, starting Thursday, Dec. 19, at the high school field house.
The Lady Pirates will play their first game at 10 a.m. Thursday against North Storm, a homeschool team from Edmond. The boys take the court at 2 p.m. Thursday against NOAH, a homeschool team from the Tulsa area.
The 8-team tournament (eight boys teams, eight girls teams) runs through Saturday and all 16 teams will play all three days.

Both Sperry teams competed last week in a basketball tournament at Preston. The girls lost a tough battle in the consolation finals to Rejoice Christian. The boys were defeated in the third-place game by Kiefer. Rejoice Christian won the boys championship game, defeating Morris in the finals. Morris edged Kiefer in the girls title game.
