Sperry Baseball Scheduled to Play Games at Start of Spring Break
Inclement weather may be the strongest competitor at this week's Sperry Invitational Baseball Tournament at Bill Fisher Field.
The Pirates dropped a pair of pool games under clear skies on Thursday, March 12, to Spiro and Owasso Junior Varsity Orange. Pool games on Friday are scheduled between the tournament's other three teams: Dewey, NOAH and Owasso Junior Varsity Black. But area meteorologists have predicted rain for Friday and Saturday that threatens to delay or cancel those contests.
The Pirates are scheduled to host Newkirk on Monday, March 16, at 4:30 p.m. before wrapping up play for Spring break by traveling to Newkirk on Tuesday, March 17, starting at 4:30 p.m. Junior varsity games will follow the varsity tilts on both days.
