Sperry Will Host Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences February 18 and 23
Sperry Public Schools has scheduled the spring Parent-Teacher Conferences for Thursday, February 18 and Tuesday, February 23 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Due to the district’s need to limit adult access to buildings, the meetings will not be on-campus. Instead, meetings will be held virtually through use of Google Meet or by phone with each meeting between parents and teacher scheduled for a 15 minute block.
Due to the recent weather conditions, staff members are not in buildings to schedule the conferences. Please contact your student's teachers through email to schedule a conference. Schedules are likely to fill quickly, so parents are encouraged to call soon. Parents will need to provide an email address to which the teacher will send a link for the meeting. Parents who do not have internet access can schedule a phone meeting with the teacher instead.
“As was the case in the fall, we believe it is in the best interests of our district patrons, their children, and our staff to once again hold our Parent-Teacher Conferences in a virtual format,” said Sperry School Superintendent Dr. Brian Beagles. "Parents and guardians are encouraged to email or call any time they want to talk with one of their student’s teachers or the site administrators, but these Parent-Teacher Conferences are an opportunity to converse with their children's teachers beyond the context of daily assignments. In spite of the limited interaction provided through this year’s conferences, we hope it is still a useful opportunity for parents and guardians to obtain a solid idea of how classes operate and the teacher’s expectations.”
Parents and guardians can call the district at 918-288-7213 and follow the automated instructions to speak to the site secretary at their student’s building, or email their student's teachers directly to schedule the day and time for a meeting.
