Parents Can Now Sign Up for Parent-Teacher Conference Time

Conferences are September 23 and 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Sperry Schools Hosts Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences

Sperry Public Schools has scheduled the fall Parent-Teacher Conferences for Thursday, September 23 and Thursday September 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Due to the district’s need to limit adult access to buildings, the meetings will not be on-campus.  Instead, meetings will be held virtually through use of Google Meet or by phone with each meeting between parents and teacher scheduled for a 15 minute block.  Parents can call the site secretary to schedule the meetings any time during the school day.  Schedules are likely to fill quickly, so parents are encouraged to call soon.  Parents will need to provide an email address to which the teacher will send a link for the meeting if they are participating in a virtual meeting.  Parents who do not have internet access, or who do not wish to meet through virtual means, can schedule a phone meeting with the teacher instead.

“We would prefer to have our campus open to our district patrons,” said Sperry School Superintendent Dr. Brian Beagles, “but the health and safety of our students and staff are paramount.  Therefore, we continue to take special precautions during this time.  Parents and guardians are encouraged to email or call any time they want to talk with one of their student’s teachers or the site administrators, but these Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity to get to know teachers beyond the daily assignments.  In spite of the limited interaction provided through this mode of conference, we hope it is still a useful opportunity for parents and guardians to obtain a solid idea of how classes operate and the teacher’s expectations.”

Parents and guardians can call the district at 918-288-7213 and follow the automated instructions to speak to the site secretary at their student’s building.
