Hello, my name is MaKayla West. I teach 4th grade general music and band 5-12. This will be my 7th year teaching, and I am so happy to be a pirate! A few fun facts about me are 1) I love to listen to all kinds of music 2)for fun I like to watch youtube and read 3) my dog is a boxer-mix named Crouton. 

During my time at Sperry, our band has earned 2 Sweepstakes State Championships. 

I started band in 2006, my main instrument is the clarinet. I attended Glenpool Public Schools from kindergarten to graduation. I have a bachelor degree in music education from the University of Tulsa.
