Sperry Football Players Receive Honors, Recognition

 

A plethora of Sperry High School senior football players received District 2A-3 honors this week.

Joe Whitely, who played running back and linebacker, was named the District's Most Valuable Player.

Other Pirates garnering awards were quarterback Cooper Park, Offensive Player of the Year; defensive end Walker Niver, Defensive Player of the Year; Stormy Weathers, Special Teams Player of the Year; Bryce Carter, Running Back of the Year; Kohlby Foster, Receiver of the Year; Tyler Arnold, Tight End of the Year; and Levi Juby, Interior Defensive Lineman of the Year.

In addition, SHS Head Coach Robert Park was honored by his fellow district coaches as the 2A-3 District Coach of the Year.
