Sperry Public School is accepting applications for the following positions:

 

Certified Position:

 

Assistant Band Director/Music Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate in Instrumental/ General Music.  Duties include high school marching/ concert/ jazz band, beginning band, and elementary general music.  Participation in extra-curricular activities required, including, but not limited to before/ after school rehearsals, district events/ programs, and competitions.  See district Assistant Band Director/Music Teacher job description for a more complete listing of duties.

Support Personnel/Non-Certified:

Substitute Teachers-Duties include classroom management, presentation of instructional materials prepared by the regular classroom teacher, assisting students with lessons as needed.

Crosswalk Monitor–Duties include protecting and assisting children in crosswalks as they go to and/or leave the school campus, monitoring traffic and area activity for potential safety hazards to children, and setting out and putting away school traffic signs and cones.  Must be able to be standing/walking for extended periods of time and capable of remaining alert to area automobile and pedestrian traffic activity, must be knowledgeable of basic traffic regulations, and must possess effective communication skills and be willing to maintain a positive demeanor throughout assigned activity.  This is a part-time position.  Crosswalk Monitor Job Description.

Part-Time dishwasher/Food-Service Worker-Duties include loading/unloading dishwasher, serving, and may include running cash register, cooking, and cleaning.  Experience in food-services preferred. 

CustodianDuties include cleaning and maintaining facilities (classrooms, halls, offices, restrooms, gymnasium/locker rooms, etc.) using proper chemicals, equipment and techniques; securing buildings and locking facility doors and setting alarm system; and some lifting, carrying, and physical labor required.  Preference given to individuals with experience using industrial cleaning/maintenance equipment and materials.  Basic knowledge of effective and efficient housekeeping techniques, procedures, and equipment is required.
