Middle School Band Resumes Competitions
Sperry Middle School Band competed for the first time since 2019 when they traveled to the Skiatook Concert Festival earlier in April. Performing for two judges, the Middle School Pirates earned a score of 1 from each, showing they were up to the challenge of competing even when none of the band members had this type of competition experience.
“I’m excited for them,” Band Director Makayla West said. “They rose to the challenge and showed that the Pirate Pride is strong at all levels.”
