Sperry Public School is accepting applications for the following positions:
High School Principal/Athletic Director -Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate with Secondary Principal certification/endorsement; masters in School Administration or equivalent. Duties include monitoring and advancing daily academic activities, student discipline, staff evaluations, and timely reporting of state data and required information, overseeing the athletic program, supervising and evaluating coaching staff, and handling correspondence, reports and policies of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association. Secondary Special Education Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma special education teaching certificate in Mild-Moderate and be highly qualified in secondary English or mathematics. Preference will be given to candidates certified in Mild-Moderate and highly qualified in English and/or Intermediate Mathematics
Elementary Music Teacher/ Assistant Band Director. Applicants must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate in Instrumental/General Music. Duties include elementary general music, and assisting with both beginning band and high school marching/concert/jazz band. Participation in extra-curricular activities required, including, but not limited to before/after school rehearsals, district events/programs, competitions, and other duties as assigned. Boys High School Basketball Coach--Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate. Teaching assignment to be determined. Additional coaching duties may include assisting with other athletic programs. Must have Care and Prevention and have current CDL or be willing to obtain CDL. Preference given to applicants with previous high school basketball head coaching experience and current CDL. Daycare Director-Duties include managing and maintaining daycare facilities, organizing activities and programs for children, supervising and evaluating daycare staff, and maintaining all required records and completing all required reports.
Daycare Workers-Duties include working with and caring for children ages <6 months to 4 years old.
Substitute Teachers-Duties include classroom management, presentation of instructional materials prepared by the regular classroom teacher, assisting students with lessons as needed.
Crosswalk Monitor–Duties include protecting and assisting children in crosswalks as they go to and/or leave the school campus, monitoring traffic and area activity for potential safety hazards to children, and setting out and putting away school traffic signs and cones. Must be able to be standing/walking for extended periods of time and capable of remaining alert to area automobile and pedestrian traffic activity, must be knowledgeable of basic traffic regulations, and must possess effective communication skills and be willing to maintain a positive demeanor throughout assigned activity. Full-Time Kitchen Supervisor-Duties include running cash register, cooking, cleaning, serving, completing daily child nutrition paperwork, and supervising work of kitchen staff. Experience in food-services preferred.
Part-Time dishwasher/Food-Service Worker-Duties include loading/unloading dishwasher, serving, and may include running cash register, cooking, and cleaning. Experience in food-services preferred.
Custodian–Duties include cleaning and maintaining facilities (classrooms, halls, offices, restrooms, gymnasium/locker rooms, etc.) using proper chemicals, equipment and techniques; securing buildings and locking facility doors and setting alarm system; and some lifting, carrying, and physical labor required. Preference given to individuals with experience using industrial cleaning/maintenance equipment and materials. Basic knowledge of effective and efficient housekeeping techniques, procedures, and equipment is required.
