2026-2027 Calendar Survey

Sperry School Community Members,

Based on stakeholder’s responses to the general survey to establish key calendar elements and other input, the proposed calendars for the 2026-2027 school year were developed.

There are a few key differences between the calendars.

FIRST -

• Option 1 has the district’s “traditional” opening: three professional development days, with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the first week of August for professional development and Thursday as the first day of classes.
• Option 2 is similar to the current year’s calendar and has the first day of professional development on the Friday of the first week of August and the following Monday and Tuesday. The first day of classes is on Wednesday.
• Option 3 has the district’s “traditional” opening: three professional development days, with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the second week of August for professional development and Thursday as the first day of classes.

SECOND -

• Option 1 has a three-day fall break Wednesday thru Friday.
• Option 2 has a two-day fall break of Friday and Monday.
• Option 3 has a three-day fall break Thursday, Friday, and Monday.

THIRD -

• Option 1 has the Parent/Teacher conference holiday on April 2^nd.
• Option 2 and 3 have the Parent/Teacher conference holidays on the last day of school following the professional development day.

FOURTH -

• Option 1 has school ending on Thursday, May 19^th.  
• Option 2 has school ending on Friday, May 21^st.
• Option 3 has school ending on Tuesday, May 25^th.
