Chelsea Parks
Special Education English and Reading Teacher
Chelsea Parks has been part of education for 14 years, all of which have been at Sperry Public Schools. She teaches English for grades 6–12 as well as the High School Elective Reading class. Mrs. Parks earned her Master of Education in Reading from Northeastern State University.
What she enjoys most about teaching is that no two days are ever the same. She loves getting to know her students, watching them grow, and helping them discover what they are capable of. Most of all, Mrs. Parks values the opportunity to invest in the next generation and make a positive difference in the lives of her students.
Mrs. Parks wants her students to know that she is always available to help them be successful. She hopes they leave her classroom knowing that they matter and have value, while also remembering the knowledge and skills they have learned. She encourages students to take ownership of their learning and works to create a positive classroom environment where all students feel comfortable, supported, and engaged.
Outside of school, Mrs. Parks enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, visiting Disney World, and attending church. Sperry has always been home for Mrs. Parks. A 2004 graduate of Sperry High School, she appreciates the small-town values that make the community feel like family. She is proud to be part of a school and community filled with hardworking, caring people who support students and come together when it matters most.
