Sperry Softball Team Wins Districts, Moves on to Regionals
Sperry High School Softball team will seek a spot in next week's Class 3A State Tournament with wins this week at the Regional Tournament in Tishomingo.
With a season record of 22 wins and 10 losses, the Lady Pirates take on Kiefer at 2:00 PM in the first round. Tishomingo meets Lincoln Christian in the other first-round matchup. The two winners will meet at 6:00 PM Thursday, following an elimination game between the first-round losers.
One team will gain a berth at State after elimination games on Friday.
The Lady Pirates advanced to Regionals with a pair of wins on Tuesday against Westville, 12-3 and 11-3, at the Sperry softball field.
