Tina Crase
Special Education Teacher
Tina Crase has been an educator for 16½ years, including the past 15 years at Sperry Public Schools. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University and began her teaching career at Horace Mann Elementary School in Hominy, Oklahoma, and Allen Bowden Public Schools.
What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing those special “lightbulb” moments when a student finally understands a concept and seeing the progress that comes from their hard work. Mrs. Crase wants her students to embrace reading and discover the joy of being able to curl up with a book they love.
Mrs. Crase strives to make her classroom interesting, engaging, and fun. She wants people to “look twice” when they walk by her room because of the inviting and creative environment she creates for her students.
Outside of school, Mrs. Crase enjoys traveling, music, and spending time with her grandchildren and being involved in their activities. Her faith and church are also very important parts of her life. Having moved 14 times throughout her life, she appreciates the diversity and experiences those moves have brought to her life. She feels truly blessed to live in a small town that has given her so many loving memories. Her favorite thing about Sperry is the way the community comes together with love and generosity when people experience tragedy or difficult times.
