Cole Fancher
High School Dean of Students
Mr. Cole Fancher serves as the High School Dean of Students for Sperry Public Schools. He has worked in education for 13 years, all of which have been at Sperry. Throughout his career, he has served in both middle school and elementary education, beginning with two years teaching middle school science and physical education before spending 10 years as an elementary physical education teacher. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Fancher has been actively involved in Sperry athletics, serving as head coach for high school softball and boys basketball and as an assistant coach for baseball and girls basketball. His experience in the classroom, athletics, and student development has provided him with a strong understanding of the importance of relationships, teamwork, and a positive school culture.
Mr. Fancher earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Northeastern State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from East Central University. In his current role as Dean of Students, he focuses on building and maintaining a positive school culture, supporting student development, and managing student behavior. He also oversees athletic event operations, including concession stand management, and collaborates with faculty to foster a safe, engaging environment for all students. His background in teaching and coaching helps him connect with students while supporting the expectations and values of Sperry High School.
What Mr. Fancher enjoys most about working at Sperry is being part of a community that genuinely cares about and supports one another. He appreciates how the community rallies together during difficult times and takes pride in the dedication of Sperry’s faculty and staff. He believes the commitment employees show to students each day is remarkable and values being part of a team that works together to help students succeed.
Mr. Fancher hopes to bring positive energy to Sperry every day and make it a personal goal to help at least one person smile each day. He believes Sperry’s rich tradition is built on unity and wants to honor and build upon that foundation. Through his work with students, collaboration with faculty, and involvement in school activities, he strives to contribute to a school environment where students feel supported, school pride is strong, and the entire community can continue to grow together.
On a personal note, Mr. Fancher and his wife, Delaney, have been married for four years and are the proud parents of two wonderful children, a son and a daughter. Outside of school, they enjoy staying active, exercising, and spending quality time with family and friends.
