Kristian Davis
Elementary Reading Interventionist
Kristian Davis has been an educator for 12 years and is beginning her first year at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Cameron University and holds certifications in Elementary Education and Secondary English Language Arts. She also holds ACT Instructional Mastery certifications in Reading and English. Her experience includes teaching and intervention roles with Coweta Public Schools, Dove Charter Schools, Collinsville Public Schools, and Tulsa Public Schools.
What she enjoys most about teaching is creating a safe space where students can make mistakes, learn, and grow. Mrs. Davis believes learning isn't about getting everything right the first time; it's about having the confidence to keep trying. She wants her students to know that her classroom is a safe place to be themselves and ask the questions they need to grow.
Mrs. Davis hopes her students leave her classroom more confident in themselves and their abilities than when they arrived. She focuses on finding what works for each individual student because she believes there isn't one way to learn. She strives to reach students with different strengths and learning styles and help each student find a path toward success.
Outside of school, Mrs. Davis enjoys reading, writing, music, and traveling and spending time with her husband and son. She loves Sperry's strong sense of community and appreciates that it feels like a place where people genuinely know and care about one another. She is excited that her family gets to be part of that community. A fun fact about Mrs. Davis is that she's a bit of a word nerd—she loves learning where words come from, why they mean what they mean, and finding the exact right word for something.
