Tracy Fancher
Fourth Grade Reading Teacher
Tracy Fancher has been an educator for 13 years, all of which have been at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University.
What she enjoys most about teaching is the students and the relationships she builds with them. Mrs. Fancher also treasures working alongside her fellow teachers, many of whom have become good friends over the years. Most of all, she enjoys instilling a love of learning in her students and finding ways to make learning fun and meaningful.
Mrs. Fancher wants her students to know that they are valued and that they matter. She strives to create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn, grow, and have fun. Her goal is for students to leave her classroom with a love of reading and a lifelong love of learning, while also developing kindness, responsibility, and pride in doing their best.
Outside of school, Mrs. Fancher enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and starting her mornings with a cup of coffee and her devotions. She loves Sperry’s small-town school and close-knit community, where everyone looks out for one another and cares about each other’s children. A fun fact about Mrs. Fancher is that her family owned a dairy farm where she milked more than 100 Holstein cows. Every cow had a name, and she could recognize each one by her looks and personality. She also wants her students and families to know that she did not graduate from college until she was 50 years old. Her journey taught her that it is never too late to pursue what you want in life, and she is grateful to be part of the Sperry Schools family.
