Vicki Garrett
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Vicki Garrett has been an educator for 22 years, all of which have been at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Education from Northeastern State University.
What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing the joy on a child’s face when they learn something new. Mrs. Garrett is a big kid at heart and loves children's stories and songs. She wants her students to develop a love of learning while knowing just how much she cares about each of them.
Mrs. Garrett brings creativity and fun into her classroom, including her love of wearing costumes to help students make connections with letter sounds, the alphabet, and the units they are studying. She strives to make learning memorable and engaging for her young students.
Outside of school, Mrs. Garrett enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing board and card games. She especially loves feeling like she is part of the families in the Sperry community. A fun fact about Mrs. Garrett is that she has a twin brother who is one minute older than she is. Sometimes, they even find themselves singing the same song at exactly the same time! She also has a special love for pets, especially dogs.
