Carie Whitaker
Kindergarten Teacher
Carie Whitaker has been part of the education community for 28 years, including the past two years at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Baptist University and is certified in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Middle School Social Studies/Language Arts.
What she enjoys most about teaching is being with children and witnessing their learning and growth. Mrs. Whitaker wants her students to know that she loves them, believes in them, and will always be one of their biggest cheerleaders. She believes learning should be fun and silly, creating a classroom where children can enjoy themselves while growing academically and personally.
Outside of school, Mrs. Whitaker loves being a wife and mom. She enjoys OU football, shopping, naps, UFC fights, NASCAR, spending time with friends and family, and spending time with her dogs and on her land. She also has a love for fashion, style, and decorating. Her favorite thing about Sperry is the small-town atmosphere—it feels like home.
